Standard Warranty
All products of Metris are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery to the original purchaser. Any product that is found defective within the warranty period, while operated in accordance with instructions, will be replaced or repaired at no charge provided that the customer pays return shipping costs of the product to Metris. Items returned must be properly insured and packed and must include a copy of the original invoice showing date of shipment and a description of the equipment failure.
The warranty does not apply to products damaged by abuse or accident. The warranty does not cover the cages, food-hoppers and drinking bottles. The liability of Metris shall in no case exceed the purchase price of the original product.
Service Contract Plans (Laboras only)
The LABORAS system is an advanced system that requires proper maintenance procedures to ensure optimal performance. To increase availability and reliability of the products, we advise customers to take one of the service options that we offer once the standar warranty of one year has expired.
Metris offers various maintenance and service plans covering for example support, preventive maintenance, repair, components, software updates, etc. Pricing is dependent on the service level (type of contract) and the location (country) of the customer.
Non-Warranty
Standard parts, labour and travel cost, charged per visit.
Preventive Maintenance Contract
A fixed price service per LABORAS system comprising a single annual visit to verify the performance of the system. The agreement provides for:
- Sensor check-out
- cleaning of platforms (including parts under the carbon measure plate)
- Performance test for each platform
- Update of license keys (if necessary)
- Update of imbedded software (if necessary)
- 5% discount on replacement parts and consumables (cages and cage accessories).
Service Contract Plan “Light”
The service contract is a yearly total protection plan that offers a quick repair (or replacement) of your system and guarantees that your system is performing to its design specifications. At least one annual maintenance visit is included if no repairs are required.
The agreement provides for:
- All labour and travel charges should the instrument become inoperative. There will be an additional charge for any parts required for the repair.
- One annual maintenance visit (ref. Preventive Maintenance Contract)
- Priority response in case of support questions.
- Free software upgrades when minor software updates or bug fixes are available.
- 10% discount on replacement parts and consumables (cages and cage accessories).
- 15% discount on new software releases
Service Contract Plan “All in”
The service contract is a yearly total protection plan that offers a quick repair (or replacement) of your system, including all replacement parts, labour and travel costs and guarantees that your system is performing to its design specifications. At least one annual maintenance visit is included if no repairs are required.
The agreement provides for:
- All repairs, parts, labour and travel costs are included should the instrument become inoperative.
- One annual maintenance visit (ref. Preventive Maintenance Contract)
- Priority response in case of support questions.
- Free software upgrades when minor software updates or bug fixes are available
- 15% discount on replacement parts and consumables (cages and cage accessories).
- 25% discount on new software releases
