"Метрис выпускает Sociality клетку для системы LABORAS" (20 января 2009 года)

 

Для исследования сложной генетики социальных поведений разработаны модели мышей для социальной дисфункции, которые сопоставимы симптомам болезней человека. Система LABORAS предоставляет объективную методологию для использования этих моделей мышей и оценки социальных взаимодействий.
Дизайн Sociality клетки позволяет подсчитывать предпочтение мыши проводить время с незнакомой мышью в сопоставлении с пустой средой, а также предпочтение мыши проводить время с недавно помещенной незнакомой мышью в сопоставлении со знакомой мышью. “Социальная “ клетка состоит из трех ячеек имеющих небольшие "двери", которые позволяют животным свободно передвигаться из одной ячейки в другую. Двери могут быть закрыты для управления экспериментом. В левой и правой ячейке имеются небольшие клетки, предназначенные для так называемой "чужой мыши".
Система LABORAS автоматически подсчитывает число переходов из центра в левую и в правую ячейки; время проведенное в каждой ячейке; время ожидания перед переходом из центра в левую и правую ячейку, а также продолжительность и количества переходов по контактной зоне (участок вокруг небольших клеток с незнакомой или знакомой мышью).

Автоматическое слежение за мышью с LABORAS системой продемонстрированно в следующих фильмах (мышь начинает двигаться в центральной комнате, знакомая мышь находится в левой ячейке; в правой ячейке нет мыши):

Концепт Sociality клетки может быть использована при изучении нейропсихических заболеваний, таких как аутизм, синдром Уильяма, социальные фобии и шизофрения.

"Метрис представит свою продукцию во время 3-его съезда токсикологов России" (1 ноября, 2008г.)

С 1-го по 5-ое декабря Метрис представит свою продукцию на 3-съезде токсикологов России. Съезды токсикологов России созываются один раз в четыре-пять лет и являются наиболее представительными форумами, определяющими развитие Российской токсикологии. К участию в съезде приглашены не только Российские предприятия, но и зарубежные компании.
Технический директор др. Левон Багдасарян представит уникальные преимущества и возможности продукции Метрис: LABORAS, SonoTrack и Sleepsign, которые используются в токсикологических исследованиях и фармакологии безопасности. Несколько ведущих российских институтов/университетов уже используют продукцию Метрис в области доклинических исследований.

"Метрис начинает разработку функции обратного воспроизведения ультразвуков в системе SonoTrack" (1 февраля, 2008)

Метрис и ее партнер по разработке, National Instruments, начали разрабатывать версию SonoTrack, которая будет иметь возможность обратного воспроизведения ультразвуковых сигналов лабораторных животных с очень высокой точностью. Известно, что ультразвуковые сигналы должны быть воспроизведены очень точно, чтобы вызвать реакцию животных. Для осуществления этой цели поставлены очень высокие требования по отношению к используемым ультразвуковым усилителям, аналого-цифровым преобразователям и ультразвуковым динамикам. Частотная характеристика должна быть плоской по широкому диапазону, а звуковое давление производимое системой должно быть достаточным, чтобы имитировать "реальные" ультразвуковые вокализации животных. Ожидается, что новые функциональные возможности будут доступны в июне 2008 года.

"Дистрибьютор в Китае и Гонконге" (28-е Января, 2008г.)

Начиная с 1 февраля, “Международная Американская Корпорация Медицинских и Врачебных оборудований” стала нашим эксклюзивным дистрибьютором в Китае, включительно Гонконг. Совместная работа компаний будет направлена на внедрение продукции Метрис в быстрорастущий китайский рынок. На данный момент рассматривается возможность совместной презентации продукции Метрис в Китае на предстоящих конференциях в сфере неврологии и разработки лекарственных средств. В ближайшем будущем информация о продукции будет доступна и на китайском языке.

2007

"Успехи Метрис в России" (13-е сентября, 2007г.)

Сегодня Метрис и быстрорастущая российская компания Ретиноиды, работающая как с национальными, так и с иностранными клиентами, подписали контракт по поставке системы LABORAS. Платформы системы будут использованы для поддержки доклинических исследований в области дерматологии. Продажу своих продукций в России компания Метрис начала еще около года назад, но на данный момент она уже близка к завершению оформления еще нескольких других контрактов для систем LABORAS и SONOTRACK. Тесное сотрудничество Метрис со своими первыми российскими клиентами, а так же прохождение ими тренинга по использованию системы в Амстердаме, помогут им извлечь максимальную пользу от ее использования.

 

"Сотрудничество между Метрис и Шербрукским Университетом в области исследовательских работ" (1-е июля, 2007г.)

Метрис и Шербрукский Центр Неврологии объединили свои усилия для изучения возможностей использования ультразвуковых вокализации в онкологических и артритических исследованиях. Цель сотрудничества – выяснить, можно ли использовать ультразвуковые вокализации как полезный параметр в исследованиях хронической боли. В рамках сотрудничества Метрис предоставил 4-ех канальный SONOTRACK прибор, использующий самые последние аппаратные средства и программное обеспечение. Шербрук разделит данные исследований с Метрис, что даст компании возможность в дальнейшем совершенствовать детали анализа данных для исследований хронической боли.

 

"Метрис разрабатывает оборудование

Новое разработанное оборудование даст возможность пользователям LABORAS показать записанные ими данные, поведенческую оценку и видеозаписи эксперимента в интегрированном виде. Таким образом, экспериментатор сможет оценить данные оценки поведений системой LABORAS или отметить промежутки времени, когда возникали поведения, отсутствующие в наборе поведений системы. Белая линия в середине показывает момент времени, когда сигналы LABORAS, оценка поведения и видео синхронизируются. Линия слева от белой линии показывает данные на одну секунду раньше видео-времени, а сигналы с лева, соответственно, на одну секунду позже видео-времени.

"Изменения в каналах продвижения продукции Метрис" (Январь 2007)

Мы рады, сообщать, что с 1 января компания Radon Medical основанная в Анкаре, стала нашим эксклюзивным дистрибьютором в Турции. До этого Radon Medical на протяжении двух лет выступал нашим агентом по продажам. Дополнительную информацию о Radon Medikal Вы можете найти на их сайте. В результате выбора нашей компанией более прямого подхода по отношению к европейским клиентам, Plexx b.v. прекращает дистрибьюторскую деятельность для Метрис в Германии, Швейцарии, Австрии и Скандинавии. Впредь координация деятельности по продажам и поддержке в Европейских странах будет происходить с главного офиса Метрис в Хофдорпе (Нидерланды). Данное изменение вступает в силу с 1-го января 2007 года. Мы благодарим Plexx за его сотрудничество с нами на протяжении последних нескольких лет.

2006

"Метрис выпускает LABORAS 2.0" (1-е сентября, 2006г.)

Метрис выпускает на рынок новую версию своего ведущего продукта LABORAS. Выпуск 2.0 имеет множество новых функциональных возможностей и усовершенствованный пользовательский интерфейс, которые делают пользование LABORAS системой еще более эффективным. Новые функциональные возможности включают в себя среди прочих: индивидуальный старт каждой LABORAS-платформы, ускоренную на 40% обработку данных, распознавание движения по кругу/поворачивание, режим ночного видения (чтобы устранить свет от монитора), улучшенную функциональную возможность распечатки, и т.д. (дополнительная информация).

"Поездка Метрис в Москву в 2006" (Июнь 2006)

В июне Метрис посетила с визитом Москву, тем самым сделав первый шаг на пути к продвижению своей продукции на территории Российской Федерации. Поездка состояла из визитов в ряд фармацевтических компаний и институтов, а также нескольких предприятий, с целью изучения возможностей будущего сотрудничества. (Читайте дальше)

Dvojica becomes exclusive distributor of LABORAS for Slovenia and Croatia" (Februari 2004)

2003

"Metris introduces new Ultrasound Analysis system (SONOTRACK)" (November 2003)

A new innovative product "SONOTRACK" is introduced by Metris at the Society for Neuroscience (SFN2003) in New Orleans. The new product is an advanced ultrasound measurement and analysis system that can record up to four independent ultrasound channels. The product is delivered with all the hardware (ultrasound microphones and electronics) and a software package that is able to show the full Ultrasound spectrum in various graphical presentations and to translate the Ultrasound in for human audible frequencies. Due to a clever hardware design (originally developed by the well known contract research organisation TNO in The Netherlands) the system beats most conventional "bat detector based" system in terms of functionality and performance for an affordable price.

"University of Utah, Institute of Human Genetics" first LABORAS customer in the USA (November 2003)

In November Metris installed the first LABORAS system in the USA at "The Institute of Human Genetics" of the University of Utah (Salt Lake City). The institute headed by Prof. Dr. Capecchi will use the LABORAS system in its phenotyping programs. The equipment will primarily be used to help the researchers in phenotyping mice from targeted mutagenesis. One of the transgenic mice strains being investigated is a mouse with a behavioral "grooming" phenotype.

Integration of LABORAS and Datasciences Telemetry near completion (August 20, 2003)

The integration of LABORAS with the Datasciences Dataquest A.R.T. Telemetry equipment is near its completion and is expected to be available later this year. In the integrated system the Datascience telemetry receivers are installed below the LABORAS measurement platforms. Extensive integration tests demonstrated that the telemetry signals are not disturbed by the LABORAS platforms. An important advantage for the user is that both the LABORAS and Dataquest A.R.T. software packages will reliably run on the same PC at the same time. The combined results will be presented in the LABORAS result summary, providing the behaviour, tracking and telemetry data together over user definable time windows and synchronized against the same time axis. The combination of Telemetry data (heart rate, temperature, etc.) , Behavioral data (grooming, eating, drinking, walking, immobility, climbing, etc.) and Tracking data (position, speed, travelled distance, etc.) will make the integrated system the most powerful research tool for animal behaviour and physiology that will be available in the market.

GSK orders another three systems to be used in the Frythe, UK and one system to be used in Verona, Italy (June 30 / July 17, 2003)

Following the successful application of LABORAS at their Harlow site, GlaxoSmithKline recently ordered three additional systems (24 measurement platforms) for use in their Transgenic Phenotyping unit in The Frythe (UK) and another 8 platforms at the GSK R&D site in Verona, Italy. The diversity of GSK departments now using our product, proves the important advantages that LABORAS has to offer in several research areas. Gedeon Richter Ltd. is the first company in Central Eastern Europe that will be using the LABORAS equipment. Founded in 1901, Gedeon Richter is the largest pharmaceutical company in Hungary and one of the largest regional multinational pharmaceutical companies in Central Eastern Europe. Gedeon Richter will use LABORAS in its pain research activities and will also work together with Metris in the development of new software algorithms in LABORAS. Karolinska Institute, internationally recognised for its innovative research, has joined the quickly growing group of LABORAS users. Karolinksa Institute will start to use LABORAS in its research with mice within the next couple of months. Paradigm Therapeutics has selected LABORAS as one of the important tools in its research and development of novel drugs. Paradigm is a new and emerging drug discovery company focussed on novel drug targets identified from the human genome. Metris and Paradigm also agreed to cooperate on the development of one or more new algorithms for the detection of behaviours that are currently not detected by the LABORAS equipment.

University of Utrecht (NL) orders latest version of LABORAS (March 1, 2003)

The Laboratory Animal Science Group of the University of Utrecht headed by Prof. Van Zutphen recently ordered the latest version of LABORAS. The group was involved in the early stages of the LABORAS product development about 8 years ago and has been using the previous DOS version of LABORAS in several research projects and studies. Their new LABORAS system will have a much higher resolution and reliability and will also be integrated with the Datascience Telemetry equipment. This combination of systems will automatically provide more behavioral and physiological parameters than any other system available in the market today.

Paradigm Therapeutics (UK) chooses for LABORAS (February 20, 2003)

GlaxoSmithkline orders 2 additional LABORAS systems (January 2, 2003)

GlaxoSmithKline has ordered two additional LABORAS systems, that will increase the number of LABORAS systems at their Harlow based facility to 5 and the total number of LABORAS measurement platforms to 40. With this order GlaxoSmithKline underlines the importance of our product in their drug development process and also proofs their continued confidence in our company.

2002

Metris and DSI investigating integration of Telemetry and LABORAS (August 20, 2002)

Metris and Datascience International have set the first step in the integration of their products LABORAS and Dataquest A.R.T. The integration will provide the user with the best of two worlds: the unique behavior and tracking data of the LABORAS system and the telemetry data (ECG, blood pressure, temperature, etc.) from the Dataquest Telemetry equipment. One of the requirements is that the integration should also be possible with systems that are already fielded (no hardware changes). Both the Dataquest software as well as the LABORAS software will enable the presentation of the data of both systems. The first results will be presented at the conference Measuring Behavior 2002 in Amsterdam (August 28-30, 2002).

KuoYang Scientific exclusive distributor in Taiwan (August 14, 2002)

Taipei based Kuo Yang Scientific Corporation (KYSC) and Metris have signed an exlusive distribution agreement for the sales promotion and support of our product LABORAS on the island of Taiwan. KYSC has many years of experience in selling research equipment to Pharmaceutical companies, Contract Research Organisations and Academical Institutes. The company is well known for its customer-oriented approach and its motivated team being available to provide excellent support on the products they have sold.

AstraZeneca orders LABORAS system for mice and rats (June 27, 2002)

AstraZeneca in Mölndal, Sweden has ordered an eight platform LABORAS system. The configuration will have the latest software (release 1.1) and will enable position tracking and automatic recognition of behaviors in mice and rats. This order also underlines the succes of our cooperation with distributor Plexx, responsible for the distribution of our product in Sweden.

Plexx becomes exclusive distributor of LABORAS for Scandinavia, Germany, Switzerland and Austria (Oct 31, 2001)

As of October 31 Dutch company Plexx B.V. has become the exclusive distributor of our product LABORAS for the following countries: Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Danmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Plexx is a well known company in the field of biomedical supplies and equipment. To underline the cooperation between the companies, Plexx and Metris will exhibit their products together at "De Biotechnische Dagen" in Veldhoven, The Netherlands (31 October - 1 November 2001). SmithKline launching customer of "LABORAS for Windows" (March. 28, 2001)

Harlow based SmithKline Beecham has ordered three "LABORAS for Windows" systems, the latest version of our product LABORAS. With this order SmithKline Beecham will receive 24 measurement platforms enabling fully automatic behavior scoring for large scale experiments and screening purposes. LABORAS for Windows provides improved measurement platforms, new electronics and a completely new user interface for Windows. But most important the core of the software being the behavioral recognition and position tracking engine has been improved in terms of functionality and reliability. 2000

Primetech Corp. becomes exclusive distributor of LABORAS for Japanese market (Feb. 21, 2000)

As of Februari 21 Tokyo (and Osaka) based Primetech Corporation has become the exclusive distributor of LABORAS in the Japanese market. Primetech Corporation is a well established company in the field of biomedical research equipment. As a first step in the cooperation between both companies, Metris and Primetech will jointly exhibit their products during the upcoming meeting of the Japan Society of Pharmacology (Tokyo, 22-24 March 2000).

Metris exhibitor at the symposium "Behavioural Phenotyping of Mouse Mutants" (Febr. 1, 2000)

The symposium "Behavioural phenotyping of mouse mutants" will be held from February 17 to 19 in Cologne, Germany. Metris will be one of the exhibitors during this symposium and will also attend the workshops on Saterday. Metris at Neuroscience Conference in Miami (September 16, 1999)

Metris will be present at the "Society of Neuroscience 1999" Conference to be held in Miami (FL) in the week of October 23..28. The latest version of our product LABORAS will be on display. SmithKline Beecham becomes first international customer of LABORAS (July 14, 1999)

Metris and UK based SmithKline Beecham agreed on a joint effort to adjust our product LABORAS to comply with UK guidelines for rodent cages and to improve the automatic detection of behavioural elements in rats. Developments are scheduled to start in July.

Strategic partnership with Scilite Communications (May 16, 1999)

Last month (May 1999) Scilite Communications in Bussum (NL) became a strategic partner of Metris. Scilite will be involved in the international marketing of our products for the pharmaceutical industry. The experience of Scilite in the pharmaceutical industry will be an important factor to cope with the increased interest for our product LABORAS and will help us to improve our understanding of customer requirements.
